Getting Started
What happens once I decide to work with your services?
We will visit your home at no cost to you and work together to determine the services that best fit your situation. We want to understand your needs and habits, which helps us build a care plan that genuinely fits your family.
How quickly can I arrange for service?
In most cases, care can be arranged quickly. Once we complete your in-home consultation and build a care plan together, we can begin care soon after.
Our Services
How do I know if a family member needs personal care or companion care?
As a family-owned and operated company, we understand how difficult it can be to decide if a loved one needs more support. Perhaps a parent has become forgetful or seems distant due to a lack of companionship. Maybe they have been ill or had surgery and need help following their recovery routine. There are many reasons, from general frailty to memory changes, when a loved one may need more help than family alone can provide. Choosing professional, compassionate care is not a compromise. It is a decision that can genuinely improve your loved one's quality of life.
Do you perform a home safety check?
Yes. A home safety check to help identify and address anything that could put your loved one at risk is part of how we build every care plan.
Our Caregivers
How are your caregivers selected?
We follow a thorough screening and selection process. Every caregiver at Sarah Grace Home Care goes through a comprehensive background check, including a national criminal background investigation, address verification, and reference and employment history checks. Only caregivers who pass our full screening process, orientation, and training join our team.
When will I meet my caregiver?
We do not assign a caregiver without getting to know you first. Only after completing an in-home consultation do we decide which caregiver will best fit your situation. Our team will then introduce you to your caregiver during their first visit, and we continue to check in regularly to make sure the relationship is working well for everyone.
Can my family member become comfortable with a single caregiver, or should they expect frequent change?
We believe a consistent, reassuring presence matters, especially for someone adjusting to a new level of support. Where possible, we aim for a small, regular group of caregivers so your loved one isn't disrupted by frequent change. If you or your family member prefer a specific caregiver, we will do our best to schedule that person as often as possible.
General
What are the advantages of home care?
Seniors who remain in their own home with a nurturing, supportive environment tend to stay more socially engaged, physically active, and experience a greater sense of wellbeing. Our care surrounds your loved one with encouragement and security, offering the chance to age with dignity in a familiar environment. Home care also helps relieve family members of many of the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving, easing stress for the whole family.
Who can receive in-home care?
In addition to seniors, many people are injured, ill, or living with a disability at some point and may need help with day-to-day activities. At Sarah Grace Home Care, we work to help anyone recuperate comfortably at home. Our services are arranged around your needs, so you decide how often and when you need us.
Will I be able to reach someone after hours?
Yes. While our administrative office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we maintain on-call access for urgent needs outside of those hours. If a caregiver is unable to make a scheduled visit due to illness or an emergency, our on-call team will help arrange coverage.
